Wildlife artist David Miller is best known for his stunning underwater paintings of game, coarse and marine fish, having had his work featured on the UK rod licence and a specially commissioned set of Royal Mail stamps.
He has also appeared on BBC Autumnwatch, Iolo’s Great Welsh Parks and The One Show.

During May I spent a day filming puffins with The One Show in which we discussed my painting and my methods of getting closer to these colourful hunters in the water. Although I’ve worked with the BBC before it still amazes me how much effort and filming goes into the production of perhaps five minutes air time. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with a great production team. You can watch the piece here:
I spent a great deal of 2013 working on a design job that I couldn’t share with any of you! However, as of 5th June I can now reveal that this was a set of 10 postage stamps for the Royal Mail highlighting five sustainable British fish species and five endangered. I feel extremely honoured to have been asked to produce these images and would especially like to thank Viki Wearmouth, Bristol Aquarium and Welsh Sea Foods for their help in securing images/specimens of all these wonderful fish.
During the Autumn of 2010 I was asked by the BBC to take part in Autumnwatch as part of Iolo William’s quest for Welsh sea trout. I was filmed painting in the studio and snorkelling in my local rivers and here is the result. I hope you enjoy it!
